Gear Oil Additive
Introduction GL 4020 is a premium, multi-purpose, extreme-pressure automotive GEAR OIL ADDITIVE for manual transmissions, conventional differentials, rear axles, manual steering gears, final drives, and all other passenger car and commercial automotive units that require an API GL-5 or API MT-1 quality level gear oils.
Formulations
- 3.25% to 3.9% by weight to meet the requirements of API-GL-4 , Automotive, GL-4 IS : 1118 service Classification.
- 6.5% by weight to meet the requirements of API GL-5 Service Classification.
- 10.0% by weight to meet the requirements of API GL-6 Service Classification.
GL 4020 may also be used at concentrations of 1% to 4% by weight in selected industrial gear oil and grease applications.
